Living Above Reproach

I was reading 1 John chapters 1 and 2 this morning and the call was clear for all of those who are in the Lord. We have to live above reproach. We as the body of Christ as Children of God cannot live in a way that will disappoint or bring disgrace to His name. There is this reoccurring theme in the Bible that is an imperative to us to “Be Holy for [The Lord] is Holy.” I know that statement is easier said than done. I do not know where you are in your life at this point but that The Lord is putting me through some tests to make sure that I am up to par with this statement. There is an urgency to walk in the light as he is in the light. My encouragement for you today is to always remember that you live for an audience of One, the only One that matters.

"God is light in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth.  But if we walk in the light as he is in the light we have fellowship with one another and the blood of Jesus, his son, purifies us from all sin."
--1 John 1:5-7

“Dear Father,
Thank you for everything that you have given us today. Lord I thank you for revealing your most powerful attributes in times of struggle and pain. I thank you for being strong when I am weak. Lord help us every day to become more like you. Not repaying evil with evil but living above reproach. Lord I ask for your grace whenever your children stumble and do things that are not pleasing to you but I also ask for the strong conviction to not do those things in the first place. Lord I thank you for being who you are.
In Jesus name I pray Amen!”
